Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - English Literature and Philosophy and Ethics with Foundation Year (V5Q3)

In the English Literature program, students will read a wide variety of texts from medieval through to the present day. They will encounter news ways of looking at literature by not only studying texts on campus but also going on various field trips.

During students' three years of study, they will gain a sound grasp of the contexts and approaches within which English literature can be studied, as well as gaining a sense of developments across periods of English literature. Students also develop a critical appreciation of the ways in which knowledge of other disciplines and their relationships to English literature can contribute to a deeper understanding of literary texts.

The Philosophy and Ethics degree is taught by a core team of critical academics who are passionate about teaching and are internationally recognized researchers and writers. This degree will equip students with the intellectual skills and perspectives needed to face the ethical and ideological challenges of the contemporary world.
