Develop students creative practice within the fields of contemporary graphic and communication design. This course will encourage them to challenge the established conventions of the creative, communicative disciplines to enhance their own ideas and concepts.
Students will examine this field of study by integrating theory and practice. Each module will give the opportunity to explore research-led practice at an advanced level. The Independence Project module will allow students to focus on their area of specialism, helping them to develop their problem-solving skills.
Students will investigate a range of concerns through a variety of practices, methodologies and media. They will also explore the relationship between traditional forms of communication and the emerging, evolving digital practices employed by contemporary practitioners in the field.
In addition, students will have the opportunity to share and develop ideas by working alongside artists and designers from this course and from other creative disciplines within the School of Art, Architecture & Design.
