Students pursing the BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing programme which is approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), will immerse themselves in a physically, intellectually and emotionally challenging course that will prepare them for an extremely rewarding career. They'll have access to diverse placement opportunities, including Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust and Leeds Community Healthcare Trust, within secondary and regional care units, community teams and GP practices.
Learners will spend 50% of their time on practice placements and will develop the practical skills needed to care for adults with acute and long-term illnesses across a variety of settings. They'll focus on areas of personal interest within healthcare during the volunteering strand of this undergraduate course.

On successful completion of BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing course, students will be eligible to register with the NMC. They can also take part in employability sessions that'll allow them to experience a simulated shortlisting panel and interview, undertake workshops with employers, and attend recruitment events, all designed to help them excel during recruitment processes. This course also allows student to work as an adult nurse, health visitor and a psychotherapist.
