Study the performing arts while nurturing the students artistic individuality. They will learn more about their current artistic interests as they draw from a range of disciplines as inspiration for their project work.
Their passion might be to develop their skills in creative text writing, dance, acting or directing. Students will use project work to explore their particular area of interest and they will enhance their practical performance skills through weekly technique classes and creative workshops, also developing confidence in their ability to create performance work.
They will study a range of practical modules that develop their knowledge in many different performance areas, from creating work specifically for festivals, to the role of art in society and the realities of applying for funding.
They will undertake a professional placement during their second year, and their third-year project work will be showcased in front of professional artists and producers at the University's annual Lift Off festival.
