The world is facing huge environmental challenges such as climate change, development pressures, resource use and pollution. Students will gain the skills to investigate, monitor, evaluate and understand environmental systems and to predict and respond to environmental challenges.
The course is highly practical. Students will continually apply their studies to real-life situations through fieldwork and paid work placement opportunities. Teaching includes lectures, seminars and tutorials, practical classes and integrated fieldwork study.
This course is accredited by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA). Students will put their theory into practice through fieldwork in the UK and overseas. Kingston have excellent links with industry, business and environmental organisations. Graduates work as environmental consultants, analysts or technicians with local authorities, in waste management, wildlife conservation, and in teaching and administrative roles.
