International Year One - Undergraduate Pathway - General (2-Semester Pathway) Transfer to Bachelor of Science in Education - Middle Level Teacher Education

International Year One is a supportive program that allows students to earn credits towards their degree while receiving additional academic, cultural and language support customized for international students.

Upon successful completion of the Pathway program and meeting university requirements for undergraduate admission, you may enter your next semester of study at Illinois State University.

Bachelor of Science in Education - Middle Level Teacher Education

The Middle Level Teacher Education program at Illinois State will prepare students for a professional educator’s license to teach young adolescents in grades 5-8. As part of the requirements for this program, students will choose two subject areas in which to focus their studies. Throughout the coursework, teacher candidates will gain the professional knowledge and skills needed to become highly effective educators, along with approximately 350 hours of hands-on classroom experience prior to student teaching.
