International Year One - Undergraduate Pathway - General (2-Semester Pathway) Transfer to Bachelor of Arts - General History

International Year One is a supportive program that allows students to earn credits towards their degree while receiving additional academic, cultural and language support customized for international students.

Upon successful completion of the Pathway program and meeting university requirements for undergraduate admission, you may enter your next semester of study at Illinois State University.

Students are encouraged to explore the past and engage in conversations about what happened and why it matters. History not only provides intriguing stories but also helps individuals gain a deeper understanding of themselves and the world.

Majoring in history allows students to delve into the topics that excite them the most. The program offers nearly 100 courses, ranging from the Middle Ages to the American Revolution, providing opportunities for learning in small classes led by passionate faculty.

History at Illinois State features an Accelerated Master’s Degree (AMD) sequence. This option provides high-achieving undergraduate students the chance to earn a master’s degree with only one additional year of study.
