- Start hands-on lab and field work in the first year, including studies at the Pine Lake campus.
- Build a resume with co-curricular courses in environmental chemistry, biology, planetary science, and scientific illustration.
- Intern in various career opportunities, including hydrology and geotechnical firms, government regulatory and preservation organizations, and FEMA.
- Join Delta Delta G, the Geology Club, on their annual trip to the Geological Society of America conference, and present thesis research at the Northeastern Geological Society of America Regional Conference.
