Hartwick College (HC)

Founded by John Christopher Hartwick in 1797, Hartwick College is proud to be one of the oldest colleges in the country. Often referred to as The Life Balance College, Hartwick is a private liberal arts institution situated in rural Oneonta, New York. Through its distinctive FlightPath approach, Hartwick blends academic excellence, career preparation and an active campus life to help students achieve a balanced and fulfilling college experience. With transparent tuition and a focus on health and wellness, Hartwick prepares students for lifelong success—both professionally and personally. Scholarships are available to international students who qualify and are awarded at the time of admission.

Students can choose from more than 45 majors, of which 12 are STEM-designated. More than 65 clubs and organizations will keep students active, and Hartwick offers 21 NCAA Division III teams along with eSports. The local area in Oneonta is a vibrant and welcoming community with a population of nearly 21,000. Students will find plenty of cafes and restaurants, entertainment venues, and parks. The campus is near the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, and Hartwick offers students the opportunity to go on trips to scenic Niagara Falls or New York City (both are around 3.5 to 4 hours from campus).
