What students will learn:

• Build a foundation in the core concepts of biology, covering topics from physiology to ecology and evolution.  
• Small class sizes in upper-level courses like cell biology, bioinformatics, and aquatic ecology allow for refined focus.  
• Access well-equipped labs featuring phase-contrast, fluorescence, and electron microscopes, as well as equipment for genetic engineering, cloning, and immunology, including a lab devoted to collected tissue cultures.  
• Participate in faculty-led J Term courses in locations such as Thailand, The Bahamas, and Portugal.
