About Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Applied Animal Science (Placement Year) (D301)
The aim of this course is to give students knowledge of animal science and how this can be applied in evidence-based management of animals under human care. This course will blend theoretical knowledge with a range of practical and laboratory-based skills. This course will cover physiology, nutrition, genetics, animal behaviour, animal welfare, animal husbandry and management. In addition, the course will provide students with a global understanding of societies’ interactions with animals and an introduction to business management of relevance to working within animal-related industries.
