Developed in consultation with industry, this degree will prepare psychologists and provisional psychologists for a sustainable career in Clinical Psychology. The students will learn advanced techniques for clinical psychological assessment, case conceptualization, and implementation and evaluation of interventions. The students will engage in evidence-based ethical professional practice, with substantial practical training integrated into your degree. The students will undertake 750 hours of psychological practice, supervised by highly trained and accredited clinical psychologist supervisors to enhance their knowledge, skills, and attributes for working in clinical psychology.
The program has been designed to meet the requirements for eligibility for general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and entry to the Registrar program for the area of practice endorsement in clinical psychology. Completion of the degree also meets the requirements for associate membership of the Australian Psychological Society's College of Clinical Psychologists. This program is appropriate for individuals who hold registration as a psychologist, or who hold provisional registration and have completed the 5th year of an accredited 5+1 degree and are seeking a pathway to be eligible for a clinical psychology registrar program.
