Academic Accelerator Program - Bachelor of Arts - Classical Civilizations

The Academic Accelerator Program (AAP) is a two-semester program designed specifically for students who are ready to succeed in immersive English-speaking classrooms, while includes the benefit of English-language and student support to help them thrive. The program curriculum offers a balance of university-wide and AAP-exclusive courses, with English-language course supplements that equip them with the practical, subject-specific vocabulary and skills they need to excel in their coursework.

The Department of Classical Civilizations – one of the oldest at the Gonzaga University – provides undergraduates with access to over 2,500 years of human experience drawn from the multicultural world of the ancient Mediterranean and Near East. The Bachelor of Arts - Classical Civilizations is an interdisciplinary program devoted to the study of that world, with an emphasis on the cultures of Ancient Greece and Rome. These cultures, through their theatre, philosophy, science, and government, helped shape the modern world for good and ill; studying them brings new insight into the present era.
