Master of Science - Physics

The physics graduate program at Central Michigan University offers a unique opportunity for students to engage in cutting-edge research without a commitment to many years of graduate work typically required for a doctorate in physics. With a student-to-faculty ratio of two-to-one, all students have an opportunity to engage in either theoretical or experimental work. As a graduate student in the physics program, students will work side-by-side with faculty and engage in experimental research work and obtain hands-on skills in laser spectroscopy, magnetic resonance, rheology, thin films, polymer fluid dynamics and X-ray diffraction labs.
