Program Description

The electronic media management program at Central Michigan University gives students a unique opportunity to pursue a degree focused on leadership and entrepreneurship in the media industry. This concentration is designed for students who want to work in a managerial capacity within mass media, whether it be at a large corporation or a small media outlet. Students also will learn how to manage their own careers, with an emphasis placed on thriving in a freelance media economy. Coursework in this concentration teaches students mass media theory and research methods, but also focuses on sales, promotion and management techniques that are necessary for survival in a highly competitive mass media industry.
