Program Description
Central Michigan University’s mechanical engineering technology program prepares students with the knowledge, problem-solving ability and hands-on skills for careers in the design, installation, manufacturing, testing, evaluation, technical sales or maintenance of mechanical systems. Students in this field frequently work in engineering design, testing, production, or research and development operations — often in industrial, aerospace and government organizations. Importantly, CMU’s mechanical engineering technology program is accredited by the Association of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering. CMU's undergraduate engineering programs were ranked 86th among the nation's universities that offer bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering by U.S. News & World Report for 2015.
