Program Description
As a journalism major, students will combine the skills of storytelling with technology and new media. They’ll gain theory and practical skills through courses taught by a faculty with rich and diverse experience. Central Michigan University faculty will know students by name, and they’ll have one-on-one instruction in skills classes. CMU's award-winning, student-run newspaper, Central Michigan Life, and online Grand Central Magazine provide professional development and lifelong memories. Their strong and active alumni network crosses the country, offering valuable internships and career connections. CMU has one of just two accredited journalism programs in Michigan.
