Program Description
Taught by experts with strong links to the legal profession, this course will equip graduates with the tools and knowledge to tackle real-world issues within the legal sector. Students will gain an excellent overview of the profession and they can also choose between two additional pathways in their final year of study to suit their career aspirations. The optional pathways are Law with Politics and Law, Media and Creative Industries.
Students will gain practical experience by taking part in Moot Courts and Moot Show Trials and attend guest lectures In the final year students will have the option to follow their preferred career pathway, whether they are looking to train as a Solicitor in England or Wales or keep career options open by following the academic pathway with a range of graduate opportunities. This is an accredited course by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and Bar Standards Board, students will graduate with a qualifying law degree.
Students will have the opportunity to put knowledge into practice during a 30-week work placement, invaluable for a future career. What’s more, if the students placement meets the necessary criteria, it can count towards a portion of their training contract or qualifying work experience after graduation
Students will be able to join the Law Society where they can network, socialize, support charity work and, in turn, enhance their CV. They'll also benefit from field trips, guest lectures and gain practical experience by taking part in Moot Courts and Moot Show Trials. A law degree will give students varied career options both within the legal profession and across a multitude of other sectors. The combination of legal and commercial expertise that students will develop throughout this course will make them an asset for a wide range of employers.
