Program Description
For those looking for a worthwhile and rewarding career, the role of Paramedic may be just what they're looking for!
Bournemouth University aims to ensure that graduates are able to fulfill the role of a modern-day paramedic- ready for an ever-changing and evolving workforce. As well as providing emergency care for critically ill patients, students will develop advanced assessment and decision-making skills so they can decide the appropriate referral method for less seriously unwell patients.
This three-year course features an equal split of theory and practical elements and students will have access to simulation suites within the university - during both taught and student-managed learning sessions. In addition, there are opportunities to undertake training and exercises at external locations across the region.
This degree is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and students will undertake over 2000 hours of placement over three years, so students will register as a qualified practitioner once they graduate.
