2.5-Term Pathway - Foundation Certificate for Business, Law or Finance - Continue to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Criminology

For entry to the 1st year of an undergraduate degree at Bournemouth University. Students' course length is determined mainly by their English language level (UKVI IELTS score or accepted equivalent). All students take a set of common or similar modules to gain key skills for university. If the course is longer than 2 terms, students will take extra modules focusing on one or more of English language, academic skills and basic subject knowledge.

Students delve into the social study of crime, deviance and the criminal justice system. Understand crime and investigate the ways that it relates to areas such as social inequality, as well as different sections of society. This course will help to develop students' critical and focused mind, providing them with debating, communication and analytical skills which can be applied to various topics and job roles. The BA (Hons) Criminology degree will provide the ideal platform for further specialisation in many careers, such as policing and probation services, that require the expertise and skills that this course will give them.
