About Grade 7 - Academic + Advanced Hockey Training

It is often overwhelming to think of Grade 4–8 students as university-bound, but they indeed are! The Blyth Academy Elementary & Middle School Program immerses students into an academic setting reminiscent of the very best post-secondary institutions; very small class sizes (averaging under eight students), roundtable discussions as opposed to desk-based lessons, and rich, experiential learning opportunities outside of the classroom introduce students to this new way of learning.

Blyth Academy Advanced Hockey is a co-ed individual skill development program held at Scotiabank Pond, and led by professional instructors. Athletes commit to four days a week of intensive on-ice training, each session lasting an hour before school, ensuring they start their day with focus and energy.

Complementing the on-ice regimen, afternoons are dedicated to strength and conditioning with an in-house trainer to enhance physical conditioning, while specialized sessions with Matt Nichol's team at Paragenix a few times a month provide a competitive edge by developing players strength, flexibility and kinesthetic IQ.

With a long-standing track record of developing top-tier talent both in Canada and abroad, Blyth hockey programs emphasize skill development, hockey sense and compete, laying the foundation for future success at higher levels of competition.
