Blyth Academy was founded in 1977 as a private school board in Canada. Blyth Academy was a pioneer in the early years of education and adventure travel. Amongst various educational firsts, was the establishment of a Canadian high school in France, the Lycée Canadien en France. As well as a university campus, the Universite Canadienne En France, and the first accredited high school program on the campus of Oxford University.

Blyth Academy has designed their programming to ensure student-athletes receive both the best academic opportunities and access to an established athletic program offering advanced training in the student’s chosen sport each and every day. Students in the athletic program receive a consultation to help guide them through the NCAA Scholarship and application process. Sports training offered includes hockey, soccer, lacrosse, and baseball. • Unique Courses: Blyth Academy Downsview Park offers an Integrated Sports Programs (Hockey, Soccer, Baseball, Tennis, Sports Plus), where students in these programs do one hour of sport-specific training each morning and one hour of dryland training each afternoon. Their Hockey Development Program is for students who are not currently playing at an elite level in Hockey but have strong work ethics and a passion for Hockey - they can work in a small group setting to hone their skills and make it to the next level.
• Facilities: Blyth Acadamy Downsview Park has 4 hockey rinks, 4 indoor soccer fields, 2 outdoor soccer fields, floor hockey, 3 multi-purpose courts, 6 basketball courts, rock climbing, laser tag, go-karting, beach volleyball, tennis courts, batting cage, football field, and track.
• Inter-House Games: At Blyth Academy Downsview Park, students are broken up into four houses at the beginning of the school year and compete against one another in a variety of sports and activities every Friday afternoon.
