About Advanced Master's Accelerator - Master of Science - Mechanical Engineering

The Advanced Master’s Accelerator Program is a one-semester program designed specifically for international students who are ready to succeed in immersive English-speaking classrooms but who also want the benefit of English- language and academic training that will help them succeed in their post-graduate program. The program curriculum offers a balance of professional and Master’s Accelerator Program exclusive courses. Students will be equipped with the practical, degree-specific vocabulary and research skills needed to excel in their coursework. Advanced Master’s Accelerator Program students will be enrolled as full-time students within the Advanced Master’s Accelerator Program and will earn 6 credits toward their selected degree.

Mechanical engineers focus on the design and operation of machinery and the prediction of machine behavior in industries such as transportation, power generation, energy conversion, environmental control, materials processing and materials. Materials engineers focus on problems associated with the design of materials and materials processes to meet specific needs in a wide range of industries. Career opportunities abound with traditional manufacturers.
