About Bachelor of Science - Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership
The Bachelor of Science program in Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership incorporates the study of political philosophy, economic thought, history, and foundational texts related to American politics, providing a solid foundation in social and political research and statistics.
Faculty members teach using the Socratic method, which challenges students to analyze the complex topics that impact lives today. Students refine their abilities to read closely, think analytically, write carefully, and speak effectively.
Students have internship opportunities on Capitol Hill, in congressional offices within their districts, and with nonprofit organizations. These opportunities enable them to build their resumes with professional experience and network with potential future employers. Global intensive experiences allow students to study in locations such as Romania and India. Additionally, they engage with world-renowned scholars through the school's public programs.
In addition to reviewing the guidelines in the Concurrent Program Options section, students interested in pursuing concurrent or second baccalaureate degrees in The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences are advised to visit the College's website for more information and requirements.
