Program Description
In choosing to study this Mathematics and Education degree students will cover a broad spectrum of childhood development activities that include the sociological, psychological and educational facets that influence the development of children. Additionally, they will cover the fundamental syllabus of a broad-ranging degree in Mathematics.
Students will be taught by enthusiastic staff and cover a range of practical, theoretical, and professional disciplines that employers in these disciplines demand. Time will be divided equally in the School of Education and the Department of Mathematics. Skills and abilities will be enhanced with regular exposure to team-work, communications, interpersonal, and time and work management opportunities.
As this is a joint honours degree, students will be able to apply for PGCE teacher training courses at either Primary or Secondary level. Also, as long as they meet the entry requirements, students will be guaranteed an interview for PGCE at Aberystwyth.
