Program Description
Computer Science and Physical Geography, at Aberystwyth University, offers an interactive, varied and exciting course structure that combines theory, field studies and laboratory-based studies.
Taught by research-led staff, in a supportive learning environment, students will develop an understanding of computing including: operating systems, telecommunications, database management, HCI, Agile methodologies and object orientation - alongside the physical processes shaping the earth, from sea to rivers, glaciers to volcanoes, and landscapes from the arid to the Arctic.
Students will be given the option to travel on an International Field Trip in the second year of study. The combination of these two disciplines will equip students with a unique skill-set to solve complex problems, in particular in Geoinformatics.
