Program Description
The Software Engineering course, at Aberystwyth University, is accredited by the Chartered Institute for IT (BCS) and is concerned with the production of large, high-quality and often long-lived, software systems. Career enhancing, the work in this area requires not only a deep understanding of software and related technologies, but also an appreciation of the management and professional issues associated with the development of large systems. Being taught by research-led staff, in a supportive learning environment, will also help students attain highly valuable and transferable skills for a future career. Students who start on this scheme and do sufficiently well may transfer to the MEng Scheme if they want the added advantage of a master's qualification.
