International Relations helps to prepare students for an increasingly globalized world and is concerned with a broad spectrum of international issues including International Relations, Economics, History, Modern Languages, International Business, Anthropology, and the Global Environment.
With an International Relations Degree from Wilkes students will gain an excellent foundation for a career in international business, foreign service and the Peace Corps, international governmental organizations of the United Nations and such non-governmental organizations as Amnesty International, and a host of private, charitable organizations as well as international teaching. Students will also have an excellent foundation for Graduate School with recent International Studies graduates enrolled at Binghamton University, University of Pittsburgh, James Madison University-Florence, and East Stroudsburg State University among many.
Opportunities to Study Abroad abound at Wilkes with many interesting programs to choose from including the opportunity to Study Abroad for a summer, semester or year. In order to help facilitate Study Abroad, Wilkes has developed relationships with Universities in Wales and Australia, however the possibilities of Study Abroad are endless with recent International Studies majors who have studied abroad in Spain, Ecuador, Brazil, India, Guatemala, Italy, and England among many.
