Program Description
The Faculty of Liberal Arts offers a wide range of programs, from traditional arts disciplines such as English and History to new and interdisciplinary fields of study such as User Experience Design. In all programs students will get both knowledge and know-how; all programs offer them opportunities to apply what they learn in the classroom to the real world. A degree in Liberal Arts provides students with many opportunities to explore different fields while developing essential skills in critical thinking and communication. Additionally, they will gain a greater understanding of the world around them, and how they can positively influence it.
During the UTP Stage II: Liberal Arts program students will take courses that introduce them to a wide range of disciplines. They will transfer into the Faculty of Liberal Arts Bachelor of Arts at Wilfrid Laurier University upon successful completion of the UTP Stage II: Liberal Arts - General Faculty of Liberal Arts. Students can choose from the following programs:
- Digital Media and Journalism
- English
- History
- Human Rights and Human Diversity
- Humanities with Leadership Foundations
- Indigenous Studies in combination with another Arts Major
- Law and Society
- User Experience Design
- Youth and Children's Studies Program
