About Bachelor of Arts - History - History Teaching
Program Description
To teach history in middle school or high school, students will need to complete a bachelor’s degree in that subject. In addition to the classes for the major in history, students complete the core professional education coursework with the College of Education to earn teacher certification in that subject. The history major includes a teaching option that integrates the teacher certification requirements.
Supplemental Pre-Professional tracks are available for students interested in pursuing further professional education. If there is interest in one of these tracks in addition to the degree, please let the recruiter know. The options are:
