Associate of Arts - Environmental Studies

This pre-major is designed for the student who plans to transfer to the University of Central Florida as a junior to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies.

Program Outcomes:

• Students will be able to perform techniques relevant to environmental studies.
• Students will demonstrate a working knowledge and appreciation of the intrinsic values of ecological processes and communities.
• Students will demonstrate an integrative approach to environmental issues with a focus on sustainability.
• Students will understand and analyze the natural environment and its relationships with human activities and their impacts on it.
• Students will acquire and integrate practical skills for scientific problem-solving, including familiarity with laboratory and field instrumentation, computer applications, statistical and modeling techniques.
• Students will demonstrate readiness for transfer.
