Associate of Arts - Elementary Education

This pre-major is designed for the student who plans to transfer to the University of Central Florida as a junior to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.

Program Outcomes:

• Demonstrate beginning knowledge and skills related to teachinag and learning in elementary grades including developmentally appropriate traditional and technological instructional strategies and differentiation of instruction and the learning environment to meet various learning needs and styles.  
• Engage in effective interpersonal, oral and written communication.
• Analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and apply information and ideas from diverse sources and disciplines.
• Demonstrate a commitment to professionalism and continuous improvement as an educator.
• Demonstrate awareness of personal responsibility in one's civic, social, academic and professional life.
• Demonstrate beginning knowledge and skills related to student and professional assessment including Florida Standards for student learning and the Florida  Teacher Certification Exams (FTCE). 
• Demonstrate readiness for transfer.
