About Master of Science - Risk Control and Safety Management

The M.S. Risk Control and Safety Management degree is a course of study which prompts applicable graduates to possess the necessary knowledge and abilities to implement applicable scientific, technical and regulatory considerations in an ethical manner. Students in the program continuously integrate theory with realistic, practical problem solving experiences with business / industrial entities and thus hone their ability to work in a team-oriented professional setting. The M.S. in Risk Control and Safety Management program maintains a competency-based focus which stems from close collaboration with successful business leaders that work in the risk control/safety profession.  Program graduates must successfully complete a capstone project which requires the application of both technical as well as management concepts to define and eventually solve a risk-based process deficiency. The M.S. Risk Control and Safety Management program aims to meet a variety of students’ learning needs and work-life schedules. The class lectures are delivered on-campus so that local students can attend live presentations by the faculty (between 5 pm and 8 pm on weekdays) and distance students can participate in live-streamed class lectures or else view recorded lectures at a more convenient time.
