About Bachelor of Art - German
The German program offers two emphases: Liberal Arts and Secondary Education. The Liberal Arts emphasis is for students who want to pursue careers in government, international business, or translating and interpreting. It can also complement other fields of study, such as political science, history, music, art, and literature. The Secondary Education emphasis is for students who want to meet the requirements for licensure to teach grades K-12 or 6-12, and it requires study abroad. German is among the 10 most commonly spoken languages around the globe and the second-most spoken language in European countries. Knowledge of German increases your job opportunities at home and abroad. Germany is one of the top trade and investment partners of the United States employing hundreds of thousands of people. This partnership means greater opportunity for international partners and German speakers.
