About Extended Accelerator - Bachelor of Arts - Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies - Literature and Culture

The Extended Accelerator Program (EAP) combines language, culture and academics to give students a deep understanding of life in and out of the American classroom and includes personalized English-language instruction and tutoring.

Students in the Extended Accelerator receive:

  • A contextual curriculum that mixes language, culture and academics
  • Exclusive access to a course focusing on life in the U.S. and in the local community
  • A full year’s worth of college credits
  • Extensive English-language tutoring, academic advising and student support
  • Personalized English-language support specific to the classes they take

Explore the breadth and depth of world literature and culture through Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies (CLCS)!

In this program students will:

  • Engage deeply with works of literature, film, and other arts from multiple cultures
  • Practice essential critical thinking, writing, and reading skills
  • Develop strong communication skills in at least one language other than English
  • Lay the groundwork for future graduate or professional study (Humanities Graduate School, Law School, Medical School, Business)
  • Enrich their lives through encounters with works of beauty, power, and depth
  • Gain insight into other cultures and nurture qualities of empathy and intercultural understanding
