2-Term Pathway - International Year One in Engineering - Continue to Master of Engineering (Honours) - Civil Engineering

Program Description

If students have completed high school with good grades but don’t qualify for entry to an undergraduate degree, they could study an International Year One, which combines university preparation with degree 1st year.

The MEng Civil Engineering course consists of core areas of structures, materials and geotechnics, alongside more specialist topics such as hydrology, transport engineering, geology and surveying. Be taught by a dedicated, diverse teaching team with a mix of industry and academic experience. Access modern, well-equipped, laboratories and industry-standard technology. 

Students will apply their learning through projects based on genuine issues, giving them valuable insights into challenges they may face in their career. During the group design project students will learn to present cross-disciplinary solutions as if to a genuine client. And if they choose, they can develop their professional skills further through a placement year with one of UWE Bristol's unique partner employers.
