Program Description

Foundation Studies Program (Standard) - Physical Science (X0F:5) (0100808):
The Foundation Studies program is a direct academic pathway to first-year undergraduate degree study, or an equivalent. The program acts as a bridging course for international students who wish to study a university undergraduate degree course but who don’t yet meet academic requirements and/or have the English language skills for tertiary study.

To successfully complete the program, students must achieve a 50% pass in all units, including English.

Upon successful completion of the course, graduates can enter one of the University of Tasmania’s undergraduate degree courses.

Associate Degree in Applied Science - Fermentation and Separation (Z2J):
The Associate Degree in Applied Science is an industry-focused program designed for people interested in working in fields that require specialised skills and knowledge of applied science principles and processes, including those who may never have considered a career in science. 

University of Tasmania is famous for high quality food and beverage products, students who love the idea of practical science and innovative industries the Fermentation and Separation stream is for them. While island state provides a wealth of the finest ingredients, the real magic behind the success of these industries are people with applied science knowledge and skills creating the artisan outputs that consumers know and love.
