Program Description

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre at the University of Sussex followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Sussex. In your International Foundation Year, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

In the International Foundation Year in Sciences & Engineering, you will explore and begin to understand the power of engineering and science in the real world. While you begin to learn the technical aspects of your desired degree program you will also be provided with a critical outlook and approach employers want in your chosen field.

At Sussex, our experts are working at the forefront of physics, developing next generation quantum technology devices and working on the ATLAS experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. You’ll study modules based on the latest research, from quantum mechanics to particle physics. You'll also explore the fundamental laws of physics.

You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside our world-leading faculty on ground-breaking discoveries, through your final year project and various research placement opportunities. In your integrated Masters year you develop advanced physical skills through working with one of our expert departmental research groups.
