About 4-Terms Pathway - Undergraduate Foundation Programme - Humanities and Social Sciences - Bachelor of Arts (Hons) - English Language and Literature

The Undergraduate Foundation Program (UFP) offers successful students guaranteed progression to the University of Southampton. This program is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at the University of Southampton.

This program includes English and three academic subject modules. There are three academic pathways to choose from and candidates will study the pathway most suited to their chosen progression degree. The pathways are: Business, Economics, Finance and Management, Humanities and Social Sciences and Art and Design.

Graduates will gain in-depth knowledge of the English language and its cultural impact on this Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature degree. They will discover the way English emerged, the way it continues to change, and its variation across its millions of speakers. Students will explore writing in varieties of English from the early medieval period to the present day, as well as from around the world.
