The Undergraduate Foundation Program (UFP) offers successful students guaranteed progression to the University of Southampton. This program is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at the University of Southampton.
This program includes English and three academic subject modules. There are three academic pathways to choose from and candidates will study the pathway most suited to their chosen progression degree. The pathways are: Business, Economics, Finance and Management, Humanities and Social Sciences and Art and Design.
Graduates of the Bachelor of Arts in English and History will enhance their knowledge of history and literature in English by studying them together on this English and History degree. They could study the novels of Jane Austen alongside the history of the naval wars at the time she wrote. Or, students could study African literature to gain a different perspective on the history of the modern city. History at the University of Southampton covers the ancient world to the present day.
