The Undergraduate Foundation Program (UFP) offers successful students guaranteed progression to the University of Southampton. This program is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at the University of Southampton.
This program includes English and three academic subject modules. There are three academic pathways to choose from and candidates will study the pathway most suited to their chosen progression degree. The pathways are: Business, Economics, Finance and Management, Life Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences and Art and Design.
The Integrated Master's in Computer Engineering will provide graduates the opportunity to:
- design and implement a fully working Central Processing Unit (CPU) from the ground up, then use it to run programs compiled using a normal compiler
- develop their skills in designing, performing and analyzing experiment results through practice
- gain an expert understanding of computer hardware, allowing them to choose between software and hardware implementations
- understand how to select and implement appropriate algorithms, architectures and design processes for meeting performance targets and power constraints
- incorporate ethics, security, performance, efficiency and robustness across computer engineering design and delivery.
