The Level 6 Pre-Master’s Program is designed to prepare international students for postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. The program will allow students to improve their English while learning the study skills and research methods that they will need during their Master’s degree studies.
The duration of the Level 6 program is two semesters. Each semester consists of a minimum of 13 teaching weeks. Students will be expected to timetable self-study hours in addition to the classroom-based hours. Each module will have an assessment schedule, which will be completed by the end of the appropriate semester. Assessments will be designed to demonstrate learning across the individual modules of the program and to allow candidates to experience a wide range of the assessment methods used in United Kingdom postgraduate program.
The Master of Science in Sociology and Social Policy allows graduates to explores global social issues and discover fundamental concepts in global sociology and relation of these issues with contemporary social problems. On this master’s course they will learn:
- a range of sociological theories and concepts
- conceptual and theoretical debates in sociology
- the impact of global social inequalities in different locations
- an understanding of current global social challenges and potential responses
- the ability to design and conduct independent research.
