The Level 6 Pre-Master’s Program is designed to prepare international students for postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. The program will allow students to improve their English while learning the study skills and research methods that they will need during their Master’s degree studies.
The duration of the Level 6 program is two semesters. Each semester consists of a minimum of 13 teaching weeks. Students will be expected to timetable self-study hours in addition to the classroom-based hours. Each module will have an assessment schedule, which will be completed by the end of the appropriate semester. Assessments will be designed to demonstrate learning across the individual modules of the program and to allow candidates to experience a wide range of the assessment methods used in United Kingdom postgraduate program.
The Master of Science in Education is for ambitious students looking to pursue or advance their career in education. They will critically examine the relationship between educational research and practice so they can find work in a variety of educational institutions at different levels. Students will take a research-first approach, using evidence and data to inform discussion points within their written work and seminar contributions. They will learn to critically reflect on their own teaching and learning practices based on analysis of different teaching methods.
