The Level 6 Pre-Master’s Program is designed to prepare international students for postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. The program will allow students to improve their English while learning the study skills and research methods that they will need during their Master’s degree studies.
The duration of the Level 6 program is two semesters. Each semester consists of a minimum of 13 teaching weeks. Students will be expected to timetable self-study hours in addition to the classroom-based hours. Each module will have an assessment schedule, which will be completed by the end of the appropriate semester. Assessments will be designed to demonstrate learning across the individual modules of the program and to allow candidates to experience a wide range of the assessment methods used in United Kingdom postgraduate program.
Students will develop the analytic and professional skills for success in the data science in the Master of Science in Data and Decision Analytics. They will learn advanced level mathematical modelling, statistical analysis, and computation. This course will give graduates the skills and knowledge to make better decisions based on data. There is also a strong focus on real work experience, with opportunities for summer projects in a range of industries.
