The Level 6 Pre-Master’s Program is designed to prepare international students for postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. The program will allow students to improve their English while learning the study skills and research methods that they will need during their Master’s degree studies.
The duration of the Level 6 program is two semesters. Each semester consists of a minimum of 13 teaching weeks. Students will be expected to timetable self-study hours in addition to the classroom-based hours. Each module will have an assessment schedule, which will be completed by the end of the appropriate semester. Assessments will be designed to demonstrate learning across the individual modules of the program and to allow candidates to experience a wide range of the assessment methods used in United Kingdom postgraduate program.
Graduates will gain the skills to analyze governance, policy-making and administration across different areas of government on the Master of Public Administration (MPA) course. They will explore public policy design and learn the way organizations deal with major policy problems and the societal effects of policy choices. Students will cover local, national and global perspectives. The understanding of the role of public administration in implementing government policy can benefit both individuals and society, on a local to global scale.
