The Level 6 Pre-Master’s Program is designed to prepare international students for postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. The program will allow students to improve their English while learning the study skills and research methods that they will need during their Master’s degree studies.
The duration of the Level 6 program is two semesters. Each semester consists of a minimum of 13 teaching weeks. Students will be expected to timetable self-study hours in addition to the classroom-based hours. Each module will have an assessment schedule, which will be completed by the end of the appropriate semester. Assessments will be designed to demonstrate learning across the individual modules of the program and to allow candidates to experience a wide range of the assessment methods used in United Kingdom postgraduate program.
Graduates will develop their passion and enhance their understanding of the past with the Master of Science in History at the University of Southampton. They will learn of the great variety of history, develop explanations of the patterns that shaped the world, and examine wider perspectives across the past. This program will engage students with leading researchers in a variety fields, from the Ancient world to the 'war on terror'.
