The Level 6 Pre-Master’s Program is designed to prepare international students for postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. The program will allow students to improve their English while learning the study skills and research methods that they will need during their Master’s degree studies.
The duration of the Level 6 program is two semesters. Each semester consists of a minimum of 13 teaching weeks. Students will be expected to timetable self-study hours in addition to the classroom-based hours. Each module will have an assessment schedule, which will be completed by the end of the appropriate semester. Assessments will be designed to demonstrate learning across the individual modules of the program and to allow candidates to experience a wide range of the assessment methods used in United Kingdom postgraduate program.
The Master of Arts in Fine Art course enables graduates to develop their individual practices in a supportive and critically engaged studio environment. Over 12 months they will produce a body of self-initiated work, supported by in-depth research in the fields and contexts that inform their practice. Through this process students will consolidate their own artistic position, learning to articulate their central concerns and to locate their work in relation to the key theoretical, cultural, and political debates of the 21st century.
