About Academic Accelerator - Bachelor of Arts - Environmental Studies
The Academic Accelerator Program (AAP) is a balanced first-year program for international graduates with good English-language skills. It supplements immersive classes taught in English with just the right amount of support.
As a student in the Academic Accelerator, learners will receive:
- The right amount of support for their academic and English-speaking needs
- A full year’s worth of college credits
- Access to courses exclusively for international students
- English-language help with words they need to know for their classes
- A mix of classes with international and the United States students.
The Bachelor of Arts in environmental studies prepares graduates to address complex environmental problems requiring knowledge from multiple social and scientific disciplines. They will learn to evaluate environmental challenges and to develop just and sustainable solutions that integrate social and economic needs with scientific and technical understanding. The program offers an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach that encourages learners to combine coursework in sustainability, anthropology, political science, geography, history, economics, business, media arts and journalism to create an individually tailored curriculum.
