Postgraduate Certificate in Education - Secondary - History

The PGCE History course at Roehampton is based on a successful partnership with local schools, where experienced mentors join university tutors in teaching the program. It equips them to teach across the 11-18 age range and to foster learning across the wide spectrum of attainment found in local schools. they will enter into lively debates about how historical knowledge and understanding can be developed. We will explore the place of history in the whole school curriculum, including history’s contribution to literacy and citizenship.
