About 3.5-Term Pathway - Undergraduate Foundation Program - Humanities and Social Sciences - Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Education Studies
At ONCAMPUS Reading, students are provided with the opportunity to prepare for degree study and are assured progression to a variety of undergraduate degrees at the University of Reading. This program is specially tailored for international students who have finished their senior secondary education, with the goal of assisting them in gaining entry into undergraduate studies at the University of Reading. Upon successful completion of the University Foundation Program with the required level of achievement in all academic areas and the necessary English language score, students will automatically move on to an undergraduate program at the University of Reading. The University Foundation Program is set at NQF level 3, which is equivalent to A level standard in the United Kingdom.
Most programs last for one academic year, divided into three terms consisting of seven to eight teaching weeks and one examination week. On average, students will participate in 21 (and up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week.
The BA Education Studies course offers a unique and valuable perspective on a variety of educational issues.
Delve into current discussions in contemporary education across various contexts on our BA Education Studies and enhance your understanding in relation to:
- Sociology: society and social justice, inclusion and inequalities, sustainability, and global perspectives in education
- Creativity: the Arts in different environments and educational contexts
- Psychology: theories of learning, and child and adolescent development.
The course provides opportunities to connect theory to practice through educational visits, guest speakers, and placements. This allows you to enhance your skills and apply your knowledge in different contexts – a valuable asset that is highly sought after by employers.
